HAGERSTOWN, MD--- Washington County’s love affair with love is explored in a brand new exhibit at the Miller House Museum.

Learn about notable local weddings, fashions, and traditions as you travel back in time through the exhibit. Special displays are filled with authentic gowns, wedding trousseau items, popular gifts, photographs, certificates, and other items ranging from the late 1700s to the 1950s.

Highlights of the exhibit include a number of pieces from weddings held in the Miller House itself, as well as dresses worn by the family of Maryland Governor William Thomas Hamilton and several bridal party gowns designed by Ceil Chapman, a noted New York fashion designer of the 1940s and 1950s. petite ladies garments dressed in prom

The exhibit will run till March 31st, and will be open to members and the public for visitation during regular museum hours.
